About Dear Asia

Dear Asia is the Asian languages and culture centre in London. We offer language training to working professionals, companies, and culture-loving individuals in London, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and other ESEA languages. We are also an professional event organiser with an exciting curated portfolio, including food tasting, cooking experience, playing pingpong, Japanese kintsugi, Kpop dance etc. We aim to promote positive representation of ESEA Cultures and build a community to celebrate our heritage - languages, food, crafts and so many more.

Teachers are at the heart of everything we do, all DA team members are teachers ourselves. We want our school to be an open, fair, professional and friendly place to work for all teachers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Teaching responsibilities

  • Represent Dear Asia to teach group lessons over evening and/or weekends at our centres; private lessons in our centre or within London Zone 1-3; and corporate training lessons during normal office hours
  • Prepare well each lesson in your own time is essential
  • Report in to head office with timely feedbacks from students or clients
  • Help each and every student under your responsibility

Admin responsibilities

  • Manage a working calendar with updated availability and lessons bookings
  • Prepare your own monthly invoice

Qualifications and Skills

  • Korean speaker & fluent in English
  • Full rights to work in the UK with a minimum of one year legal stay
  • Willingness to commit medium to long term as a free lancer teacher
  • Academic excellence in education, teaching, or linguistic degree
  • Strong knowledge in language acquisition theory and practice
  • 1 years plus teaching experience in Teaching Korean
