Harrow Online offers a unique perspective on local events and societal issues from a team of diverse, local writers in the borough of Harrow.
We started as a small digital media company based in Harrow back in 2010, and our website now gets between 200,000 and 400,000 users per month. We now aspire to deliver our content to an even wider audience.
We publish news stories within the borough of Harrow, UK. This covers Harrow, Stanmore, Wealdstone, Pinner, Hatch End, Kenton and all local areas.
Job Description We are looking for an author to develop creative stories, reviews, and news relating to Harrow as and when required. This will include assignments set out by Harrow Online management as and when required.
The responsibilities of the journalist/reporter will include:
- Developing news stories for Harrow Online
- Creating on-site features for Harrow Online
- Creating reviews of local events, restaurants, amenities etc.
- Conducting research to include factual information in stories.
- Presenting drafts for editing in a timely manner.
- Applicants will be required to travel to Harrow-based locations to undertake tasks.
- Interviewing
- Taking images/recording video
- Video editing skills a bonus
This position is freelance as and when required.
Job Type: Freelance
Salary: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
