Freelance Interior Designer Edinburgh, Scotland
Job description
Thanks for looking at our advert, we are looking to hire an interior designer too work within our company (construction) This would be a freelance role with varying hours each month depending on how many projects we had on at one time. As a guide it would be around 40 hours per month.
The role could either be carried out from home or within our office. At times it may be beneficial to work in the office as designs can be discussed with construction managers before been issued out too clients.
The candidate must be able to visit different locations throughout Edinburgh too meet with our clients, measure spaces and discuss there project.
Duties:
- Collaborate with clients to determine their interior design needs and preferences
- Develop design concepts and create visual presentations for clients
- Select and source materials, furniture, fixtures, and accessories for design projects
- Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals involved in the project
- Oversee the installation and implementation of design plans
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in interior design
Skills:
- Strong creativity and artistic ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations is desirable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management and organizational skills
