Freelance Cloud Engineer - Remote - 12 months

Start date: ASAP (latest Janaury)
Project duration: inital contract is for 12 months
Travel no, it is fully remote from anywhere.
Working hours - You will be working Australian time zone
Hourly rate (freelancer) €60-80 (maximum) depending on level

Project context, project support with development tasks.
Tasks builds new customer projects in public or private clouds and runs existing systems.

Has a solid understanding of the http request lifecycle.
Develops IT landscape deployment scripts and builds CI/CD pipelines in conjunction with development projects.
Helps ensure the integration of logging and monitoring tools into our customers' applications.
Enjoys working in an agile environment and participates in the appropriate ceremonies.
Supports the evolution of cloud management by evaluating and testing new cloud components and managed services.
Provides technical application consulting and troubleshooting support to our L2 Support Engineers.
Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation to resolve high priority incindents via hotfixes.

Requirements -

Is enthusiastic about DevOps culture and has experience with public clouds (preferably Azure).
Experience working with most of the following:
o WAF & CDN - preferably Akamai.
o IaC/CaC - preferably Terraform, Ansible.
o Programming language - Python/Go
o Troubleshooting skills
Network request flow/lifecycle
Certificate troubleshooting
DNS troubleshooting
o Certificate automation - preferably Let's encrypt
o Monitoring - preferably Grafana
o Creating and working with APIs
o Version control - ideally Git
o Building & concepts of CI/CD - GitLab pipeline
o Docker

Hands-on experience in agile development projects; ITIL knowledge and experience is desirable.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in English.
