Freelance Camera Operator - Sports Specialised London, England
Job description
The Professional Triathletes Organisation, is looking for Freelance Camera Operators who Specialise in Sports Filming with a dynamic eye, to be based in the UK + Europe. You will be expected to work and travel in the UK and on international stories across Europe mainly; Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Norway.
The role will be to work alongside the producers in the field to acquire and deliver raw documentary style video following Professional Athletes, as they train in Swim, Bike + Run by using a variety of equipment depending on what each individual assignment demands.
The key technical requirements for this role are:
- Experience shooting Sport in previous jobs, preferably swim, bike, run mediums. (underwater desirable)
- Experience as a camp op in a fast paced shooting environment with an agile kit, for example; Sony FX9 (preferred) , DJI Mavic iii Pro (desirable) , FPV Drone (desirable).
- Strong Experience shooting handheld; with a gimbal Ronin S or similar/ Shoulder Rig proficiency.
- Ability to shoot at speed for example, whilst on the back of a race moto.
- Experience with LAV mics + top mic's on the go and ability to sync audio for camera.
- An artistic eye for setting up interviews and lighting in cinematic settings.
- A highly motivated individual with a keen sense of what makes high quality visual storytelling and an enthusiasm for new and exciting ways to improve visual storytelling for digital platforms.
- A personable individual who has a keen interest in sports filming. Triathlon knowledge is a bonus!
Other requirements and responsibilities:
- A full driver’s licence and passport
- Having a basic understanding of Adobe Premier Pro in order to organise rushes + log to a good standard.
