Cwtch Consulting Ltd (aka Dr Coral Harper) works with adults who work with children in mostly school contexts (with other professionals also) who are struggling due to their traumatic life experiences. 99% of our work is on a freelance, third-party basis for Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK). Coral works on a freelance basis as the Director of TISUK, Wales. Thus, we set up, deliver and sub-contract trainers across the UK to deliver training, consultancy, supervision and support to schools throughout all 22 local authorities in Wales. TISUK training supports adults to anchor their understanding of Trauma with theory and practical strategies to make a difference.
About Trauma Informed Schools UK CIC:
TISUK is a not for profit organisation. Their vision is to provide appropriate training for schools, communities and organisations so that they become trauma informed and mentally healthy places for all. They offer Diploma level practitioner training, whole staff training, senior lead training, consultancy and awards.
TISUK's objective is to bring about a whole school/organisational cultural shift where the wellbeing of all is the highest priority. They implement many interventions to ensure the relational and emotional health of all. Their interventions are evidence based with the backing of over 1,000 research studies from psychology and neuroscience.
TISUK believes that for schools to become mentally healthy places for all, the value of wellbeing has to start at the very top, with organisations such as DFE, Ofsted and the Regional Schools Commissioners balancing the scales between outcomes (test scores) and emotional wellbeing. They are working to ensure that there is national recognition of the importance of monitoring the wellbeing of schools and that Governing Bodies, Trust Boards and Directors make staff wellbeing as well as pupil wellbeing a key performance indicator for our schools.

Part-time Bookkeeper (Freelance post)
Important: Whilst the ideal candidate will be working remotely from home for the most part, they must be willing to attend Zoom meetings and/or travel to irregular meetings within the Cardiff, Pembrokeshire areas and anywhere in between.
The role of Bookkeeper within our organisation is to record all company spending, including purchases, invoices and sales and provide accurate information on company revenues and outgoings for the purposes of filing accounts. As our Bookkeeper, you will liaise/communicate closely with the Business owner and other admin staff to support the efficiency of business processes. You will be organised, efficient and skilled at keeping track of the various types of spending by the company. The position involves using relevant accountancy software and you will be tasked with managing the balancing of accounts. Within our organisation, the role of Bookkeeper reports directly to the business owner.
Outlined below are a number of standard duties that this job role entails.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for delivering an accurate trail of company spending, the Bookkeeper is responsible for the variety of activities that can include:
- Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed.
- Management of sales ledger.
- Maintaining accounts, verifying, and posting transactions.
- Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis.
- Recording and managing client invoices & payments.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and banking contacts.
- Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns.
- Preparing schedules, statements, and reports as requested.
- Managing & filing relevant documentation.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possess relevant NVQ/SVQ qualifications or specialist qualifications such as AAT.
- Possess first-rate numerical skills.
- Strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role.
- Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business.
- Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages.
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and Google Drive.
- Knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets.
- Willingness to work both from home and connect with team.
