PO3: starting salary £42,510, rising in annual increments to £45,711

Lambeth Council heads a Counter Fraud Shared Service covering counter fraud activities for Lambeth and Croydon. Officers within the service work on either the Lambeth or Croydon contract. The advertised post is employed by Lambeth and will carry out duties on behalf of Croydon. It is a hybrid role working from home and from Croydon offices at Bernard Weatherill House.
Counter Fraud are seeking a Fraud Prevention Officer to work exclusively in the Croydon team within the Shared Service. The post will focus on fraud prevention activities along with managing the National Fraud Initiative activities for Croydon Council, and will report to the Shared Service Counter Fraud Manager.
The post will work closely with colleagues at Croydon and Lambeth.
The ideal candidate will be a counter fraud professional with knowledge and experience of employment in local authority or other public sector organisations. Experience of overseeing the National Fraud Initiative will be invaluable to the role, as will experience of fraud prevention activities.
