My client are a growing retail business, with ongoing plans for future growth, both organically and through acquisition. You will become a valued member of the finance team, operating from their York offices.
Job Description
As FP&A Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of annual budget process for all sites and the overall business, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
- Monthly rolling forecasts and quarterly forecasts
- Periodic reporting both internally and externally, as well as ad hoc reporting as required
- KPI reporting, to include board level dashboards, month end board packs and supporting commentary and information
- Validation of monthly results
- Presentation packs for budgets, forecasts and monthly results
- Involvement in business acquisitions as required, working closely with M&A director
- Using analytics tool to automate reporting
- Challenging and improving existing processes, and working closely with other departments to optimise business processes
- Business partner to commercial teams and senior management team
- Ad hoc support to Financial Controller and Finance Director
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confident business partner, with an ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Multi site experience (desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Natural decision maker, able to exercise judgement and take responsibility
- Ability to manage change and constantly challenge the status quo
- Energetic and proactive

In return, the client is offering a competitive salary up to £50k + wider package, including bonus scheme. The offices are based in York and they are operating a hybrid working pattern, with a 3 days a week on site.
