Job Description


This is a new and exciting role to bring a financial perspective into the People (HR) team and lead on data integrity, forward thinking data reporting, and proactive financial workforce planning. This role is the bridge between our central and business portfolio finance teams and HR leadership, ensuring alignment of our HR and ERP systems and building reliable reconciliations between budget and actual people-related expenditures.

The role will build the ability and resilience to offer our commercial leadership data to inform and influence their commercial and people decisions and provides our HR leaders an opportunity to upskill their abilities in Power BI and financial management.


The FP&A Analyst is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:

  • Own the monthly reconciliation of the ERP and HRIS, ensuring data accuracy is reached and fully aligned for accrual purposes. This includes but is not limited to bonus plan accrual, role categorisation and key headcount data.
  • Provide the HR leaders insight surrounding monthly vacancy and out-of-cycle pay increases ensuring HR leaders have the data to challenge and support the commercial teams in making informed decisions.
  • Own the data integrity of internal job categorisations such as job function and role focus across the business ensuring the data is correctly aligned within the HRIS and ERP.
  • Ensure proactive and transparent workforce planning of headcount and vacancy provisions to ensure data alignment between Finance and HR.
  • Be the Lead on the reconciliation of the 3-year planning process with a people-centric focus.
  • Support the HR Leadership team in the introduction of dashboard reporting through Power BI to support data-driven people decisions across the business.
  • Support the annual bonus calculation and salary review calculations, introducing a highly automated process, and ensuring integrity in the calculations for payment and the ability to integrate the accrual provisions.
  • Work with the HR Director on the quarterly executive reporting from a people perspective.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance Systems team to ensure the development of reporting is meeting the ever-evolving needs of the finance team.
  • Upskill the HR Leadership team in Power BI implementation.

Qualifications


Professional Qualifications

  • Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels
  • Strong influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial technical matters to non-technical people
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and produces quality outputs to tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate with advanced Excel, PowerPoint & Power BI skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and innovative thinker
  • Exceptional prioritisation and time management skills
