This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of the success of Operational Finance and ultimately enable Operations to manage their finances better and delivering water more efficiently.
The FP&A is a key role, where no two days will be the same, an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and can deal with ambiguity and last minute requests in a fun work hard, play hard environment. You will have the freedom to use your inquisitive mind and really make a difference to make things better. Combining working within a passionate, friendly team whilst having the opportunity to also work on your own initiative.
What will you be doing?
- Developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs to enable the business partners to drive added value with their respective business units.
- Responsible for supporting the annual budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide accurate and timely analysis of financial information.
- Establish strong working relationship with the wider finance team.
- Liaise with business partners to agree inputs into planning processes
- Investigate and apply best practice in business planning and forecasting
- Support delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis and reporting
- Gain a good understanding of financial performance through regular reviews - proactively highlight risks and opportunities identified.
- Drive continuous improvement with the finance Including (but not limited to) automation, efficiency, standardisation. Also support any wider plans to upgrade or change financial systems
- Completing Regulatory accounts to enhance decision making against our regulatory framework
What you will bring to the role?
A vibrant, resilient Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
Experience of SAC, HFM and/or Power BI would be useful but not essential.
In depth experience in an FP&A function with a proven track record of 'adding value’
A curious mindset, with the desire to implement improvements and make things better.
A team player but someone who can also work on their own initiative
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
