Summary of position
Responsible for building and maintaining models for budget and forecast and transforming data from a variety of systems to provide analysis, trends, and insight, to support business strategic direction.
You will be comfortable dealing with a wide range of people and levels in the business. You will also be comfortable with a changing business, as Cresset is looking to expand and grow the regions and areas it operates in, as well as the systems we use.
Key Responsibilities
- Aggregate financial and operational data from core source systems, cleansing it, and preparing it for reporting processes
- Measuring critical financial metrics at the company-wide level as well as the department-level to drive more strategic analysis
- Maintain the budget and forecasts and run budget variance analysis as the books close to regularly report on performance to plan
- Preparing data for ad hoc analysis requests from senior leadership or executives
- Preparing reporting for the monthly management pack for review by the CFO
Requirements
Essential
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years professional experience
- Experience in FP&A reporting
- Strong Excel skills
- A Suitable qualification for the role (CIMA qualified or part-qualified, MBA or relevant experience)
Desirable
- Experience of reporting for software or SAAS business
- Experience of Power BI ideally, or similar packages (such as Tableau)
Location
- Our office is based in Litlington, Cambridgeshire, UK
- 2 to 3 days onsite per week
