Job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, load and count merchandise.
Duties:
- Operate forklift to move materials within the warehouse and external storage yard
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Check loads are secure and safe
- Use radio frequency equipment to locate and pick merchandise from within the warehouse
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and report any issues to management
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification
- At least 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
