Position Type:
- FULL TIME! Permanent position (not a temporary gig)
- Monday-Friday 1st shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
- Load and unload trucks with forklift and check in merchandise
- Prepare orders: Processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Receive and open bales, crates and other containers
- Unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Count physical inventory
- Prepare parcels for mailing
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat
- Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Required to communicate, exchange information
- Requires the use of hands to move objects and merchandise
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects 30-40lbs.
- Requires the use of hands to handle objects and merchandise
- Requires the ability to stock shelves by climbing ladders or stairs; able to bend, twist, stoop, reach and lift/move inventory
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
- peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Exposed to warehouse conditions, cold/heat and noise
Other Functions/Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have reliable transportation
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
- Dependable, Reliable and Punctual
- Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills preferred
- Able to interface with all levels of staff and management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
