Due to on-going expansion we are recruiting for additional Forklift Drivers to support Operations. The candidate must be highly focused on Health & Safety and a valid forklift licence is essential. Immediate starts are available.

Who are we?
CPL started reactivating industrial spent activated carbon in 2013, and a significant expansion of this capacity was completed in early 2018, making it one of the largest industrial regeneration facilities in Europe. At the same time, we set up a completely separate facility for the reactivation of potable spent adsorbents, to allow us to supply our products and services to the municipal water and food production industries. In 2020, this facility achieved both Halal and Kosher accreditation.
Reactivation involves passing the spent carbons through a slowly-rotating horizontal kiln at temperatures typically in the range 700-900°C. Impurities present within the pores of the spent carbon are desorbed and subsequently destroyed in a thermal oxidiser and scrubber system, leaving a regenerated activated carbon adsorbent that can be reused in its original application.
The role:
4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off - 12 hour shifts with annual leave.
· Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy Carbon Regeneration Plant
· Safely bag stacking and un-stacking large quantities of carbon
· Moving goods safely around the plant and transport loading areas
· Loading and Unloading lorries in an efficient and timely manner ensuring all safety procedures are adhered to
· Good housekeeping skills - ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from any hazards or obstructions and any other general house keeping duties to help support operations
· Regular checks on forklift equipment for faults and damages
· Reporting of any forklift faults or damage
· Accurate record keeping of incoming and outgoing product ensuring correct labeling and weighing of product
· Keeping up to date on Health and Safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
· Good communication skills - Identify and report damages, shortages and or discrepancies

Experience:
Forklift license
Driving license
Previous experience in a similar environment preferred
