Job description
Haywood & Padgett is a busy family bakery based in Carlton Industrial Estate, Barnsley. Our warehouse team is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for a permanent role.
Rate: £14.26 per hour, OT rate is £21.39 for any hours worked over 40.
Working Hours: 3 on 3 off, alternating days and nights. Day shift: 7AM - 7PM, Night Shift: 7PM-7AM
Our warehouse stores supplies, including raw, dried, and refrigerated food stuff. They also house finished products that have been manufactured and packaged before they are sold or further distributed.
The warehouse operative will work closely with the warehouse supervisor and manager as well as liaising with team colleagues and other essential departments.
Daily Duties
· Using Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks
· Order picking, transferring, and moving supplies into and around the site and storing appropriately, using the correct rotation of stock
· Maintaining minimum and essential levels of products, and associated supplies within the warehouse. Accurately recording stock levels
· Complying with all health and safety legislation, ensuring a clean environment and good housekeeping
· Supporting any general maintenance of machinery and reporting any defects
· Attending training and developing courses, as appropriate
Qualifications and Experience
· Experience of working within a warehouse is essential
· Experience as a supervisor or managing a team is essential
· Experience of working within a food manufacturing, food supply chain, or similar is essential
· Experience of using Counterbalance forklift truck is essential
· Experience of using Reach forklift trucks is preferred
· Basic understanding of maths and English
· NVQ Level 2, or equivalent in warehousing welcomed
