JOB DESCRIPTION:
Two positions available:
AM: 01:00AM - 10:00AM & PM: 12:00 - 21:00PM
-Unloading and loading of a number of LGV vehicles via Forklift truck.
- Ensuring all 18 tonne vehicles are loaded in a timely manner each morning having accurately scanned freight and followed load plans, for LGV Drivers to leave promptly from the depot.
- Moving any held freight to appropriate area within the loading area and/or warehouse if being stored on site.
- All Forklift Drivers are responsible for the good housekeeping of their working environment with a big focus on keeping the loading area clean and tidy at the beginning of shift, throughout the shift and at the end of the shift.
- Complying with all aspects of Health and Safety on site – always working in a safe and controller way so as to minimise risk of damage to freight or risks to the safety of any staff on site.
- If desired, a successful candidate can complete training on relevant routing systems and act as occasional cover for the Delivery routing Team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current forklift licence.
- Previous experience of a transport / pallet operation is desired.
- Good IT literacy.
- Previous transport planning experience desirable, but training can be provided.
- Class B (car) driving licence desirable.
