Together for Mental Wellbeing is a national charity that works alongside people to help them improve their wellbeing so that they can lead the lives they want to.
The Together Wellbeing Pathway (TWP) service offers independent, flexible, needs-led support drawing on the principles of mentoring and advocacy. Our Together Wellbeing Pathway (TWP) service operates in partnership with the London Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway. We have a special focus on working with young people (18-30yrs) and those from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.
The Forensic Mental Health Practitioner (FMHP) will provide low-intensity emotional support using techniques of: Motivational Interviewing; CBT; psychoeducation; Compassion Focused Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. They also support people with practical issues (e.g., housing, ETE, documents). They will offer one to one support to a caseload of male service users who have been screened into the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway (OPD) in London using a formulation-based approach.
The post holder will work as part of a whole system pathway aiming to improve public protection, and to promote psychological health, wellbeing, pro-social behaviour and relational outcomes for those accessing the service.This is fixed term position until 30th of September 2023.
