Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Starting at £25,000 per annum (bonus up to 10%, plus package)
Start Date: November 2023
As a Football Systems Operator, you will be working on-site at football stadiums in your region, playing a key part in the delivery of our services to Premier League and Championship matches. As you gain experience in the role, you may be expected to be involved in more tournaments throughout the UK, Europe and further afield; such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and FIFA World Cups.
Whilst we provide a number of services in top-flight football, you will initially focus on our Goal Line Technology service. You will gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team.

Application and Hiring Process:
- Successful candidates will receive an invite to complete a one-way video interview and online assessment on the 25th of September.
- The deadline for the completion of these tasks will be the 1st of October at 18:00.
- The successful candidates from the video interview/online assessment stage will be invited to a virtual assessment centre on a particular date of the week starting October 9th (the exact date will be communicated closer to the time).
- The final stage for successful candidates from the assessment centre will be an on-site assessment at a stadium within your region on a particular date of the week starting October 23rd (the exact date will be communicated closer to the time).
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-match planning and driving the van to the stadium before match-day
- Setting up Hawk-Eye technology in the stadium (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging cameras and running cables)
- Conducting pre-match set up, checks and calibration of the systems in accordance with standard procedures
- Liaising with stadium staff, match officials and host broadcasters on-site
- Monitoring the systems during the match
- Monitoring hardware and software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues
- Taking full ownership of our system on-site and being an ambassador for Hawk-Eye
- During the off-season, building and maintaining our hardware and equipment
- Assisting with installation and testing of new products and services
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A technical grounding; with a desire to work with and learn new technologies
- Bright and enterprising with excellent problem-solving skills coupled with an inquisitive mindset
- Proactive attitude and time management skills with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner
- Willingness to travel domestically and to work overseas
- Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dedicated by the fixture list and can change at short notice
- Acceptance that the nature of our business means that work will be carried out over weekends/bank holidays
- A full valid driving licence is required and willingness to drive our vans
- A bachelor's degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience working with video technology/replay technology desirable, or live event/technical production
