We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our supportive and forward-thinking podiatry team in East Staffordshire as a Foot Care Assistant (FCA).

The successful candidate will benefit from working alongside podiatry and FCA colleagues to support service users with a range of podiatric needs at our clinic sites and in domiciliary settings across East Staffordshire.

Personal and professional development is important to our team and training to achieve FCA competencies and accreditation will be provided. There are also opportunities within the Trust to join apprenticeship programmes, as well as regular opportunities for continuing professional development via internal and external training.

There is a supportive leadership structure in place, with regular managerial and clinical supervision in place as well as opportunities for peer support.

Our service has gone from strength to strength, learning and growing in the wake of the pandemic, and have worked hard to promote development within the team as well as reducing waiting times and improving the range and quality of services available to patients. The successful candidate will support service users with a range of podiatric issues with including nail care, wound dressing and assisting with nail surgery and wound clinics.

The ability to independently travel across the East Staffordshire patch is essential as work at different clinic bases and domiciliary visits to housebound patients will be required
