The Role: Food Tehcnology (KS3 - KS4) Start date: September 2023 Pay Scale: £135 - £200 per day (DOE) Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne An 'Outstanding'secondary school are recruiting for a Design and Technology Teacher (Food) to work from September 2023. This position is a full time role, teaching to KS3 and KS4. The successful Food Technology teacher will be required to work on an ongoing basis likely until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in well renowned school that has recently been graded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. Behaviour is noted as a strength within the school as well as pupils positive attitude to learning. Design and Technology Teacher (Teacher of Food technology) key responsibilities: - setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest - setting appropriate and demanding expectations - providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge - ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time - ensuring students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught - evaluating own teaching critically to improve effectiveness - contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the schools policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the schools values and vision. We are willing to consider applications from experienced Food Technology teachers and ECTS. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
