Step Teachers are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher specialising in Food Technology for a long-term role beginning in September. As a long-term supply position, this role will involve planning and marking.
Located in South Norfolk, within easy commuting distance of Norwich, the school has been recognised as “Good” by Ofsted. Students and teachers are proud of the vibrant, enthusiastic learning environment, and the positive relationship between the student body, the teachers, and the wider community.
As the ideal Food Technology Teacher for this role, you will:
Possess strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum across the KS3 and KS4 levels
Be able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
Upkeep a clean and safe learning space, and a hygienic food preparation environment
Display a strong, mentoring personality toward students
Cultivate positive relationships with students, working to inspire good behaviour and a passion for learning
Cooperate with and support your colleagues and additional classroom staff
Be able to accurately assess and report on your students, and articulate solutions to their difficulties
Comply with and implement the school's policies, and take part in their supportive educational ethos
Requirements for this role:
QTS or equivalent
Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Food Technology
A relevant subject-related degree is desirable
Cooking and Food Hygiene Certificates
