WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Are you a technologist with experience in Fresh Produce looking for an opportunity to develop your career?Reporting into the Technical Lead, this role is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a food technologists or quality control background and looking to progress and expand their knowledge in fresh produce by joining a well-respected company that supplies premium products UK wide.

YOU ARE
- Experienced in Fresh produce quality and having present interaction with suppliers.
- Ideally Degree level educated in a food based Science
- Ideally Lead Auditor qualification, HACCP Level 3 or 4
- Other expected courses: Allergen management, Food Safety
YOU WILL
- Build a strong relationship with the supply base technical team and management to develop their focus on the Mindful Chef business and their responsiveness to issues and communication
- Manage the supplier performance through data recording and reporting on quality and all other technical aspects
- Ensure all suppliers meet or exceed the Mindful Chef standards including BRC A grade or better, SEDEX membership
- Manage and maintain the Supplier approval, start up and maintenance of data systems
- Support training of members of the Intake/QA team
- Where applicable identify standards of production, provenance, environment that Mindful Chef customers will be proud of and enhance the brand
- Daily Monitoring of onsite stock to help reduce waste
- Support the business with all due-diligence requirements, participate in continuous culture improvement
- Undertake any other activities deemed relevant to normal business requirements
- Manage the Specification system, ensuring all suppliers specifications are up to date and complete
- Manage complaints data to identify issues and drive quality improvement
- Follow up on serious issues raised by customers
- Review all Packaging and ensure it shows the product off to the best advantage, is innovative, fit for the purpose and is widely recycled
- Put in place a quality review and benchmarking process throughout the year
- Be the go-to expert for the business for all technical and industry matters for Fresh produce

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
