Job Title: Catering Assistant
Trust: Nottingham University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Queens Medical Centre, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH
Band/Pay rate:Band 2, £10.37 per hour (enhanced rates for evenings and weekends)
Contract: NHSP Bank – Ongoing Placement
Hours: 5 days out of 7 - 3:30pm – 6:30pm (Subject to a rota, some weekend work required)

NHS Professionals require pro-active and hardworking individuals to work as part of the catering team at Nottingham University Hospital.
The Role
We are now looking to recruit several catering assistants to work at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham on an ongoing contract. This role would suit someone who has previous experience in a hospitality setting and holds a food safety qualification level 2.
Duties may include but not limited to:
· To undertake food service duties in the staff kitchen and visitor restaurant and all other retail outlets
· To assist in the patient and restaurant food production kitchen as directed by the management team (preparation, cooking and storing).
· Assist in the service of food items as required.
· To prepare the patient meal service area with the necessary service equipment, cutlery, crockery meal trays, food etc. Portioning, plating and service of Patients Meals.
· To ensure that all food is served is of a high standard, mindful of portion control, meal content, correct temperatures, and food presentation.
· To assist with the safe and effective cleaning of meal service areas and equipment after service.
Skills Required
· Experience in a catering or similar role
· Excellent customer service
· NHS experience – desirable but not essential
· Reliable and hard working
