Job description
Verve People recruit on behalf of leading hotels, restaurants, and venues in and around Chester.
We are currently looking for an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team at the University of Chester.
Shift details:
- 20 - 40 Hours per week
- 5 Days over 7
- Earliest shift start is 7:30am and latest 5:30pm
Our front of house team will have fantastic opportunities to gain new skills and develop within the company, such as attaining a Personal Licence and an NVQ Diploma in Food and Beverage Service.
You will be working with experienced team members who will nurture and refine your skills.
What your role would include:
- Grinding and brewing coffee
- Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented, and tasty beverages
- Taking client orders and receiving payment
- Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers
- Maintaining a clean and sanitised working environment
- Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
- Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Serving food
The ideal candidate would preferably have:
- Competent in busy periods
- Qualified and experienced
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Pride in your work and appearance
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- 5 years experience
