Main Purpose
As a Food Service Worker, you will prepare a variety of hot/cold beverages such as cappuccinos, brewed coffee, lattes, espresso, and hot chocolate, blended drinks to include milkshakes, cappuccinos, etc. by selecting proper ingredients. The role also includes serving food items such as paninis, baguettes, and sandwiches. You will prepare fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving, while maintaining good customer service skills. This role also includes cash handling and utilizes safety and sanitation practices.
Knowledge and Experience Required - Applicants must demonstrate the following:
1. Knowledge of basic arithmetic to count number of tables/trays required to determine number of servings a container will yield, and to count change when required to perform cashier duties.
2. Working knowledge of food service sanitation standards including procedures to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste.
3. Ability to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions.
4. Ability to do tasks with several steps and to follow established sequence of tasks without more than normal supervision.
5. Ability to use and maintain food service tools and equipment such as knives, mechanical dishwasher, and powered cleaning equipment.
6. Ability to learn food service safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
7. Ability to read and understand simple signs, names of food items, and instructions

Other Important Information
May be assigned other duties not described in this position description, but that is appropriate to the grade of the incumbent.
A pre-employment physical is required.
Will be required to obtain and maintain a food handler’s certificate
Will be required wear all personal protective clothing while on duty.
Will be required to observe US Federal Holidays instead of UK Public Holidays.
