Job Description:
As a Kitchen Porter at The Reach at Piccadilly, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, supporting the chefs and ensuring the efficient flow of dishes and equipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
- Assist the chefs in basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning.
- Ensure all areas of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, are kept clean and sanitized.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving deliveries and organizing stock.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from superiors.
