Job description

The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that everyone who visits Buba experiences efficient and friendly service whilst maintaining the highest possible standards.

Please note all applicants must be aged 18 or over due to processing orders for alcohol whilst on duty.

Responsibilities and Duties

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service, at all times
  • Take customers food & beverage orders and process them through the EPOS system
  • Check customer ID to verify they fulfil age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Delivering & clearing food & beverages to customers efficiently
  • Ensure your product knowledge is thorough and up to date
  • Be competent at preparing & serving our cocktails to our required standard
  • Answer telephone calls and deal with basic enquiries or pass on to appropriate staff member
  • Take reservations, always ensuring the booking & customer information is accurate
  • Process cash & credit/debit card transactions
  • Assist in keeping front-of-house and toilets clean and tidy, at all times
  • Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
  • Be aware of your Health & Safety responsibilities
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office

Other duties/responsibilities:

  • Be friendly, smiley, sociable and welcoming to our customers, to create a great atmosphere
  • Remain calm, patient and polite, if receiving customer feedback
  • Be helpful and go out of your way to help our customers

Part-time hours: 20-45 per week

Salary: £7.53-£10.50 per hour
