Supporting food manufacturers and retailers with product innovation including: rheology, new product development, value optimisation, instructional development, pilot plant, quality and food safety manufacturing, thermal processing, new technologies, and regulatory affairs.
Food Safety & Quality Systems Team
Campden BRI provide global consultancy services for global food safety and quality. Our team of specialists ensure that products are safe and fit for purpose. Food quality management uses tools, such as HACCP and auditing, to describe processes, analyse what could go wrong, put procedures in place to prevent things going wrong, check the systems are working, and identify actions to take if things do go wrong.
Position
- You will help to manage and deliver scientific and technical projects (training, consultancy, and research) giving high quality and cost-effective solutions to our clients both internal and external. Including delivery of training courses - both on-site at Campden BRI and off-site at client premises
- To develop business for Campden BRI in focused areas to support the strategy and vision of the business
- To support the section manager and hygiene specialist to deliver and grow the factory hygiene services. Hygiene services currently involve consultancy and testing work around topics such as personnel hygiene, hygienic design, building design, air handling, environmental sampling, cleaning & disinfection, training, and general trouble shooting
- Answering technical enquiries on food hygiene topics
Requirements
- Food Science/Technology degree or equivalent
- Technical knowledge of the food industry (science and technology) across multiple food sectors
- Experience in a technical or quality management role within food manufacturing or in food legislation enforcement
- Practical experience of at least one industrial food safety management standard would be an advantage
- Formal qualification in HACCP, Level 4 would be expected to fulfil the job requirements
- Good verbal and broader communication skills to support business development, training, and consultancy offerings
- Practical experience and trained in auditing
- Training experience at least Train the Trainer level would be expected to fulfil the job requirements
- Full UK/EU driving licence and ability to travel globally
