The purpose of this role is to carry out the production and packaging of Booths own label food products. You will work in line with food safety procedures in order to manufacture the highest quality of product.
As a Food Production Operative, you will understand the importance of good food, good hygiene and the importance of minimising waste. You will work well as part of a team, while showing initiative when it matters. This is a temperature-controlled environment (chilled),
Please Note: This role Involves working with raw meat and meat processing / fruit and vegetables. Some heavy lifting maybe required up to 20kg.
Food Production Operative (Meat)
- Food Production: Chef, other manufacturing 1 year (preferred)
- Hours of work: 38.75 hours, Mon to Saturday (5 out of 6 days)
- Potential to raise to £10.66 p/h when fully skilled
- Processing / packing products
Responsibilities Include:
- To ensure all our products meet the highest standards of food safety.
- Perform visual quality control of goods ensuring products meet specifications
- Maintain a strict level of workplace and personal hygiene standards
- Operating food-manufacturing equipment safely.
- Ensuring operational safety at all times in line with company procedures.
