ABOUT YOU

Working as a Technician in a Food Service testing laboratory you will be working as part of a close-knit team ensuring the safety of food for consumers. You will have the opportunity to assist in ensuring the microbiological safety of the food that comes into the lab for testing.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will be part of the microbiology production team which provides analytical services to major food manufacturers and suppliers. The position is based across the end-to-end production process from registration of samples, through preparation, plating and incubation. The role also involves participation in quality and health and safety training as well as contributing to internal and external quality proficiency schemes.

  • Weighing and blending samples
  • Plating and pouring samples onto Petri-dishes
  • Put samples in incubators
  • Routine cleaning of stations

The shift pattern for this position is Wednesday - Friday 14h00 - 22h00
