Job Description
Callestick Farm Ice Cream Ltd is a leading manufacturer and supplier of dairy ice cream and sorbets to a wide range of customers in retail and food service.
The role is to support the production and technical departments, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate and filed away correctly, plus conducting tasks to help ensure the smooth running of production, whilst assisting the site in being audit ready everyday.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
· Assisting the production manager with daily admin tasks
· Conduct checks of paperwork before filing in an orderly fashion
· Support stock taking and logging of subsequent data collected
· Using the site MRP system, submit purchase orders to suppliers and monitor supplier compliance in delivering to the set timescales
· Support operator training as appropriate, including liaising with external agencies where required
· Collate and present data for site and customer KPI reports
· Work closely with all site teams to ensure site standards remain high, promoting a right first-time attitude, highlighting weaknesses in practices and supporting implementation of appropriate corrective actions
· Conduct internal inspections to schedule, including action logging and ensuring closures are undertaken within given timeframe
· Ensure the microbiological, finished product, rapid swabbing and environmental sampling schedules are complied with, including compiling and despatching samples as required according to relevant schedules, and logging results, taking corrective action for out of specification results
· Support with product quality checks at a defined frequency throughout production
· Lead routine taste panels to review post-production product quality
· Build Support third party and customer audits and support ensuring the site is audit ready at all times
· positive relationships, act to promote good morale and cooperation within the teams on site.
· Actively promote and deliver good health and safety working conditions and practices.
· Promote a continuous improvement approach to ways of working, identifying and implementing any streamlining opportunities within own role and the team’s role
· Undertake any other task as is reasonably required to support the effective operation of the site.
