Do you love to be beside the seaside?
Then you'll love life in Nairn. Our hotel has direct access to an award-winning beach, ideal for a sunset stroll with or without a four-legged friend. (You'll find our staff and guests alike are dog lovers!) Golf View offers spectacular scenes over the Moray Firth too, where the local dolphins play.
Away from the beach, the hotel is 20 minutes' walk from the town centre. As the third largest town in the Highlands, Nairn sees its fair share of tourists, but it also has plenty to offer locals. There's a community cinema, supermarkets, local restaurants and Nairn train station, which has direct connections to Inverness and Aberdeen.
Nairn's other sandy attractions can be found on the many golf courses, with several historic links and two championship courses a short distance from the hotel. So if you know the difference between a birdie and an oystercatcher, you're sure to be popular with our guests.
Three reasons to choose a career with Crerar Hotels
- Destination locations
Scotland provides a sought-after quality of life, ideal for outdoorsy types. Urbanites may find there are limitations, with reduced public transport, small local shops and occasionally - the ultimate modern hardship - patchy phone signal. But those who take that in their stride find that they discover true peace and quiet, wake up to incredible scenery and have Scotland's natural larder to feast on daily.
- Talent development
We always aim to progress staff internally where possible, which means a number of our team have been with us long-term. They've chosen to make a life in one (or more!) of our locations, building themselves a varied career in the Scottish hospitality industry.
- Shaped by our values
We share the spirit of Scotland through our values. We take pride in providing a truly authentic experience; we're warm in personality, curious to get to know our guests and confident in sharing our knowledge. We take what we do seriously, but our humour means we also see the lighter side. Above all, we're comfortable saying, "we are who we are!"
