Food & Beverage Manager
As our incredible, historic business continues to go from strength to strength, we are now looking to expand our leadership team for the Food and Beverage department. As a Food & Beverage Manager, you will need to be passionate about service and delivering good-quality food, making sure that your team is confident, knowledgeable and engaged. With two dining outlets and a Bar, this is a varied, challenging and career-enhancing role that will play to your strengths and future aspirations with diversity and experience of multiple dining occasions. During the daytime, The Courtyard Bistro is our fast-paced dining area, serving delicious food and drinks inside, and outside in the courtyard. The Champagne Bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. And then upstairs, The Chapel is our destination restaurant that offers our guests the chance to experience something truly special and memorable. Our vaulted ceilings and inspired displays create a fitting ambiance for the food, rivaling the best in Cornwall and beyond.
As Food and Beverage Manager at the Bodmin Jail Hotel, you will be able to make an impact across all of these areas, ensuring that we exceed guest expectations while operating within cost. Reporting directly to the Group Head of F&B, you’ll be a self-motivated individual full of new ideas to take our offering to the next level. You’ll have excellent organisational skills, strong operational experience, and be a highly personable individual focused on customer experience.
Food and Beverage Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing daily food and beverage operations.
- Following food and safety regulations.
- Maintaining positive customer relationships, developing opportunities and responding to customer needs.
- Assisting with marketing events.
- Creating and enforcing restaurant policies, targets, and KPIs.
- Training and development food and beverage Team.
Food and Beverage Manager Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages.
- A culinary or food service management degree may be advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of the food industry.
- Strong working knowledge of related computer software.
- Ability to adhere to budgets and meet financial targets.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to forecast food and beverage needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
