Fuel (what we internally call Food & Beverage) is important for our guests - it sets them up for a day of non-stop exploring, or helps when they need to relax.
Reporting directly to the Fuel Manager you will be responsible for driving team engagement and development, exceeding guest expectations at every opportunity and driving sales within the department. Looking after the bar, breakfast, and the extensive and complex meeting and event space within this 276 bedroom hotel, this is a dynamic and challenging role where you will serve as a key member of the hotel senior management team.
Duties will include;
- Deputize in the absence of the F&B Manager but ensuring all tasks are completed
- Ensure smooth running of F&B departments/outlets on a day-to-day basis with effective communication within and between departments
- Actively seek ways to improve the operation, agree and implement any resulting actions. This should be done in conjunction with leading continual use of guest feedback that is received.
- Full operational knowledge of all F&B standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- To have an active role in the promotion of Learning and Development in the department, ensuring training activities are carried out and recorded
- Promote team member engagement
- Implement company policies and procedures with the support of the F&B Manager and HR, where necessary and in line with Company standards.
- Oversee the Recruitment and onboarding process, alongside the F&B Manager, for the departments, driving the efficient replacement of departing team members
- Assist the F&B Manager to control all operating, beverage and labour costs and recommend changes in order to keep costs in budgeted levels.
