Head of Marketing - F&B National Franchise Marketing
As the scale of Grounded Kitchen grows, we’re looking to appoint a Head of Marketing to structure, drive and deliver on our national franchise strategy, encompassing both B2C & B2B audiences, defining the plans for our overall UK marketing activity and propositions.
You will inspire and develop an insight-led decision making culture within the team, improving our planning process, through a holistic and goal -oriented approach. .
This is a perfect opportunity to drive the strategic direction of our brand through the development of our national, annual marketing strategy, encompassing content and campaign ideation and media planning, to include a critical path for the delivery of pre-planned content, (to fully encompass the volume & frequency of ads and posts across all our supported digital & social platforms) ideated and executed with clarity and precision, for our growing network of Franchise Partners.
In addition, you are passionate about our brand and will be instrumental in the development of bold, exciting campaigns, derived from well developed and conceived trend boards; quarterly LTOs/LTPs, and local marketing support for campaigns and events.
Role Responsibilities
- This is a national role and would require an individual to understand and represent Restaurant Franchise Partner (and other affiliate partner) interests in discussions across the business and beyond
- Develop and drive the national strategy of our rapidly emerging brand, and direct both content and social strategies and inform the overall growth marketing strategy, working in a fast-paced environment.
- Build strong relationships with franchisee teams and gain a deep understanding of GK’s landscape in each market as well the cultural and legal nuances of different markets
- Come up with bold ideas - campaigns, initiatives, tactics
- Develop our annual marketing strategy and calendar for our franchise partners, defining priority of messaging, the role for channels, and governing cohesive activity for seamless campaigns
- Implement and lead our marketing team on the process around decision making forums, both internally and externally
- Lead and work cross functionally on key strategic growth opportunities within marketing
- Lead on key strategic projects
- Identify ‘news worthy’ stories and insights that could be developed into meaningful and impactful thought leadership content and reports which will be picked up by the media
- Work with the social / digital media team to develop initiatives that go beyond media into content, digital publications, social, influencers
- Proactively offer new ideas on how we could better engage partners and improve the consumers understanding of what the brand stands for
- Champion thought leadership content development
- Oversee the workload and priorities of the day to day requirements around content creation, amends and development either within the team or through studio/freelancers
- Oversee production of the content on our Website, Help Center and blog. Influence content creation within our CRM programs and social/paid media platforms
- Work with an in-house designer/external agencies to bring your content to life
- Be the custodian of the tone of voice and brand guidelines that the wider teams need to follow
- Be the point of contact and key collaborator with all partnerships
- Deliver insights and recommendations around content performance
- Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Proposition Activity Planning: Understanding and defining market dynamics and expected ROI on seasonal activity
- Developing a robust and comprehensive templated planning and reporting framework
- Define messaging framework and the role for channels in external and external communications
Your background
- An experienced marketing professional (ideally with F&B space experience)
- Passionate about Grounded Kitchen and coming to us with the vision and energy required to lead out brand to even greater success
- Exceptional organisational and management skills
- A visionary, with an executional mindset, grounded in national strategy
- Competent in B2B, B2C campaign ideation & content creation (5+ years is essential)
- Someone who’s had exposure to the full marketing mix
- Experience with Marketing Automation platforms and CRM systems
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
- Experience managing both short and long term projects, with the ability to be both reactive and proactive
- Fluent English with an excellent standard of writing
- Experience of writing for many audience types including media and different form type - blog, emails, case studies, reports
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strategic mindset with the willingness to act quickly and execute
- Flexible and adaptable attitude and must be able to remain calm and think clearly in high pressure situations
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to navigate across content analytics platforms and website reporting tools like Google Analytics
- An agile self-starter, comfortable with constant change and thriving in a challenging and fast paced environment
