Houstoun House is looking to strengthen our Food and Beverage team as we build up for a busy season ahead and we are looking to recruit a number of new bodies to join the family.
As a Food and Beverage Assistant or Supervisor at Houstoun House, you are leading the front line in a key, customer facing role.
You love to interact with people and your ability to engage with our guests in a confident and approachable manner is the first step to delivering great service. You are also a proactive and committed team player with a ‘can do` attitude – you’re great to have around and both guests and colleagues appreciate your enthusiastic approach.
Delivering a memorable guest experience is important to you. You take pride in making a difference, paying attention to detail and always seeking to anticipate our guests’ needs.
This role is ideal if you have experience in a similar customer-facing role in hospitality. However, if you have worked in a quality-led customer service role in a different industry and are willing to learn, we will provide you with training and the opportunity to thrive!

- Ensure that all guests are met with a warm and genuine welcome
- Provide friendly, attentive service that is tailored to the specific needs of each customer
- Offer advice and recommendations with confidence, based on your full and up to date knowledge of all menus and the hotel products and services
- Prepare and maintain a safe and clean environment before and during service, with full awareness of the relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures
- Present yourself smartly and professionally at all times: you are an ambassador for the company and play a key part in the successful delivery of excellent guest service
- have a full and up to date knowledge of all hotel products and services. And show confidence in making recommendations
- Maximise selling opportunities by adding customer value at every opportunity. ·
- Co-operate and communicate with colleagues, and Management to ensure effective department teamwork and high morale.
- Create a team environment maintaining a high level of motivation and commitment within the department.
- Ensure effective communication between all departments within the hotel.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 20/40 per week
Salary: £9.50-£11.00 per hour
