Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction. Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages. Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons.
We have Full Time and Part Time roles available as we head into the new busy season.
Main Responsibilities
· Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction
· Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
· Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons
· Helps increase food and beverage revenue through his/her sales efforts
· Recording and strictly adhering to all dietary requirements noted
· Is familiar with all the hotel's services, informs guests and encourages use
· Promotes the food and beverage special events and products
· Increases food and beverage revenue through additional sales techniques
· Handling of cash, credit cards and voucher payments.
Customer Relations
· Provides a friendly and personalised welcome for guests and is constantly attentive to their needs
· Promotes the point of sale and services to customers
· Ensures respect of brand commitments
· Conveys the image of the hotel
Professional Techniques / Production
· Knows all the restaurant and bar menu products (preparation instructions)
· Serves guests in the restaurant, organising his/her work to suit fluctuations in numbers
· Ensures equipment remains in good condition
· Ensures work station remains clean and tidy throughout shift
· Applies the procedures for opening and closing a point of sale
Management and administration
· Is responsible in the meet of the department's targets by:
· avoiding waste and loss of merchandise
· Manages invoicing and cash operations for the services sold
· Is responsible for the restaurants/bar cash holdings and scrupulously respects cash management rules
· Helps manage crockery and appliances by avoiding breakages
Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
· Ensures that the workplace remains clean and tidy and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations
· Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment used
· Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
· Ensures that all F&B areas are kept clean and that hygiene and food safety standards are respected
· Applies and ensures application of the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
· Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc)
Reporting Line
· Reports to the Restaurant Manager
