It’s an exciting time to join our Property team at Sainsbury’s. We’ve brought our facilities management function in-house and are having a group wide approach across our brands to ensure that the facilities within our corporate, retail and depot operations are led with a strategic lens to meet cost efficiencies and our Net Zero targets.
Responsible for developing the data requirements and the associated technology to support the wider FM and Property teams to deliver a data led, strategic FM service. You will be responsible for delivering accurate analysis to inform key stakeholders of FM performance and apply this analysis to make strategic recommendations. You will work with key stakeholders across the business and with multiple data sources to enable well informed, strategic analysis leading to operational and strategic recommendations that align with business need.
More about the role:
- Carry out detailed analysis using the Facilities Management data systems to provide strategic direction for the FM leadership team.
- Understand the requirements of peers to develop the correct reporting and analysis to enable operational and strategic decision making.
- Review and develop data analysis tools for automation of reporting with the right output, particularly highlighting opportunities for efficiencies and cost reduction.
- Responsible for the upkeep and integrity of data and systems to ensure accuracy and correct information is always provided
- Analyse performance data from FM & Data systems using CAFM and remote monitoring to generate performance reports
- Work cross functionally to enable wider property and retail metrics to be absorbed into FM analysis to inform strategic decisions.

- Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with evidence of experience in systems such as Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft BI, IBM Cognos and awareness of SQL
- Expert level with MS Excel
- Strategic mind set with the ability to deliver strategic recommendations
- Exceptional communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to spot trends through qualitative and quantitative data sets
- Ability to analyse data and correlations to root cause
- Generates solutions to store FM challenges using a data lead approach
- Capable of presenting and influencing effectively up to and including Senior Managers
- To understand trends and the resulting impact on the business so longer-term strategy decisions can be made.
- Attention to detail in providing accurate information to peers and up to Senior Managers.
