We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Employee Access Assistant/Driver that has a full, clean driving licence and strong administrative skills.
Working as the Employee Access Assistant/Driver you will be driving and supporting colleagues who may be vision impaired or have another impairment or lifelong condition on a day-to-day basis, enabling them to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
As the Employee Access Assistant/Driver you will form a close and trusting working relationship with the employees you support, and having a person-centred approach, good communication skills, flexibility and understanding are extremely important.

This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year. Flexibility including overnight stays and significant travel may be required.

Candidate profile
To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
Essential
- A full UK driving licence, and confidence driving in new locations.
- Achievement of GCSE passes or equivalent at least at grade C in Mathematics & English (QCF level 2/SQCF level 5).
- Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity.
- Positive, team player, flexible, thorough, uses initiative and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as the role will require close working relationships with the people being supported and a range of other stakeholders, including Executive Directors and Trustees.
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent listening and communication skills particularly verbal.
- Proven, demonstratable ability to take a person-centred approach, build trust and work in a close one to one working relationship.
- Excellent planning and organisation skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
