The focus of your role:

The Fleet Manager will be the main contact for company car drivers and our fleet provider and will manage the day to day running of the car fleet. This is a key role as an important member of a central team focusing on the seamless delivery of all services provided internally and externally and ensuring that our drivers and vehicles are legal and safe at all times and that vehicles are selected in accordance with business requirements and budgets.

Role Responsibility

  • Be the first point of contact for any company car drivers.
  • Be the conduit between our Fleet provider and our drivers.
  • Manage compliance for all drivers and vehicles
  • Manage pool cars and all vehicle movements and reallocations
  • Complete monthly data updates and update payroll system in relation to drivers and advise HMRC of all starters and leavers
  • Monitor accident management and compile monthly reports
  • Review and reconcile monthly billing challenging costs where necessary
  • Ensure all policies are updated and communicated
  • Manage relationships and contracts with all suppliers
  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal customers delivering clear concise communication
  • Provide clear, concise communication to the business
  • Keep up to date with regulations and changes in legislation and advise the business accordingly
  • Strive to continually improve ways of working via new systems / technologies / apps
  • Support the team with projects.
  • Comply with all reasonable instructions and directives from line manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Employees: Ensure that all employees driving on company business are entitled, legal and safe to do so
  • Costs: Ensure that all costs are managed effectively, striving for savings at all times
  • Processes: Ensure that efficient & effective processes are in place.
  • Projects: Any projects to be completed on time

  • Have strong commitment to the continual improvement of services provided by the team.
  • Be able to develop effective and efficient processes and successfully implement them.
  • Have good administration and software skills.
  • Be able to multi-task and turn a hand to anything.

Skills & Experience – Desirable

  • Experience in fleet administration and legislation
  • Education to A level/NVQ standard
