Fleet and Logistics Data & Programme Specialist
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Northwest (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £39,742 - £46,755 determined by a competency-based framework
**Please note that we have a 12.84% pay increase agreed across the business, effective from 1st July 2023**
About The Role
We have an exciting new opportunity to join our Fleet and Logistics directorate as a Fleet and Logistics Data and Programme Specialist. This role will report directly to the Fleet and Logistics manager and will support our Head of Fleet and Logistics and the Network Fleet and Logistics Managers in providing a best-in-class Fleet & Logistics operation support service to internal customers.
As a Fleet and Logistics Data and Programme Specialist you will ensure that all work in the team is effectively planned and executed ensuing optimum use of resources and timely delivered to our internal and external customers alike. You will be trusted to deliver a quality and specialist experience, always acting responsibly, and communicating clearly and using your investigative skills you will analyse complex issues identifying any key points to be addressed in order to develop effective plans to resolve any problems.
Key Accountabilities
- Facilitate departmental daily priorities, work with key stakeholders including Heads of, COAMs and other business managers (where necessary) to ensure joined up thinking
- System, process, and data expert. This role is a data driven role and requires the capability to design, develop and implement management information reports and/or provide output from analysing various sources of data to help drive business benefits and direction.
- Identification and co-ordination of training needs, assisting in the design and delivery.
- Inputs to Projects: Support and lead inputs to projects to facilitate these being completed to realise objective in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process Improvement: Work with wider business to Process map processes and making suggestions for improving the quality of the data, systems or manage process.
- 1st line support: Point of contact for data-related queries from the business. Provide advice on data or systems impact from the relevant systems.
- Reports/Analytics: To interpret MI requirements and utilise raw data sources to analyse, interpret and provide insightful and meaningful reports from a business context perspective – including production of data dashboards and centralised reporting (on an ad hoc and scheduled basis) where relevant aiming towards encouraging data driven decisions.
- Access Requirements: Manage reporting access requirements and manage relevant data storage mediums (e.g., SharePoint sites) to provide an effective service to users.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities: Assisting with wider team support when required.
- Creates, implements, drives, and develops competent and compliant service
About You
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft packages, particularly excel and powerpoint
- Experience of Interpreting complex data from multiple sources on fleet elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
- An understanding of Multi-Cloud Services, and Security and Compliance
- Having a good working knowledge of the entire O365 stack (Power BI, SharePoint Online, Teams, Forms, PowerApps, Power Automate), including their interactions, use cases and expertise of languages utilised in the O365 suite/Power Platform.
- Experience in troubleshooting, fixes, enhancements and driving the resolution of complex reporting issues with service providers.
- Experience to support the execution of a defined business strategy and support the implementation of a significant Transformation Programme.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of cost drivers in the supply chain and related customer business drivers.
- Experience in utility operations with a focus on fleet operations
