Fleet Controller

Core services include repair, maintenance, construction and installation of utility and infrastructure assets. We provide traffic management through our sister businesses; Go Traffic Management and Capital Traffic Management. Vegetation management and tree cutting activities are provided through EOS Contracting.

Our Role
As a Fleet Controller, you will be part of an established Fleet Team responsible for the daily management of the vehicle fleet for the company. You will help support the internal customers to ensure maximum vehicle availability by effectively managing our external suppliers to minimise vehicle downtime.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
· Be the key person in the coordination of the maintenance and breakdown of our national fleet from beginning to end
· Manage breakdowns from beginning to end, whilst ensuring great communication and customer service
· Manage external suppliers to coordinate work carried out on fleet vehicles, using an effective order number process, and exercising appropriate control over costs
· Support the Fleet Operations Manager in effective management of customer relationships and be confident to produce clear reports to support effective communication and negotiation with customers, suppliers and third-party agents
· Manage external service and parts providers ensuring appropriate repair methods are undertaken and replacement parts supplied are of the required standard and cost
· Ensure all services provided to the customer and any costs associated with the service are recouped within the recharge process following the customer specific guidelines
· Ensure all job & systems data is recorded accurately and on a timely basis
· Ensure maintenance schedules and MOT appointments are agreed, accurate and supplied on a timely basis
· Monitor system data integrity and provide reports as required
· Act upon system reports and ensure discrepancies are highlighted and resolved
· Maintain effective response times in relation to call centre duties
· Offer front line customer support, advice and resolution following enquiries
· Allocate calls and resources to ensure that all calls are actioned to comply with agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) and targets
· Ensure Key Account customers and management are regularly informed of call progression/ development through to satisfactory resolution
· Ensure that the necessary processes, procedures, and engineer work instructions are understood and followed, providing a consistent and professional service to our customers
· Perform administrative duties including call handling and data entry/management using our systems
· Advise and provide support to your colleagues by utilising your commercial vehicle background and expertise
Experience and Qualifications
· Experienced fleet professional with a sound knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and maintenance requirements
· Ideally have workshop experience
· Self-motivated, proactive, enthusiastic & flexible
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
· Key2/Jaama knowledge an advantage
· Have a good understanding of VOSA regulations
