Are you a dynamic team player looking to show off your skills in an administration role? If so come and join us at our office in Ocean Village, Southampton. We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic part time Fishing Vessel Administrator to primarily deal with the certification of fishing vessels and help develop our current systems.

The position would be a part time Monday-Friday role which is office based with potential for occasional home working. The salary offered would be £22,000 pro rata based on a 20-22 hour work week.

Reporting to the Senior Administrator your key responsibilities will be:

  • Administration relating to SCMS fishing vesssel activities undertaken as an MCA-authorised Certifying Authority and Fishing Vessel Certifying Authority.
  • Cover for other Administrators as required.
  • Creating and sending invoices for any required fishing vessel certifying authority surveys.

Skills Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and well presented work;
  • Competent in the use IT and of the Microsoft ‘Office’ suite of programmes and data entry to database;
  • Confident and polite telephone manner;
  • Good communication skills with both clients and other employees;
  • A meticulous, systematic approach to problem solving;
  • Self-motivated with a pro-active attitude;
  • Effective in working autonomously but also as part of a team;
  • Experience of Apple Mac computers or Apple products would be an advantage;
  • Experience in working in a small office environment (preferable but not essential).

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £22,000.00 per year
