Job description
About us
The brand Graficona Poster Design is stylish, contemporary and up to the minute in terms of design. However, we are all about nostalgia, remembering and reliving a moment in time through retro design led visual representations. We are bold and unashamedly football fans. We prefer the players of yesteryear to today’s prima donnas. We design posters that celebrate and honour football icons. We pay homage to them by immortalising them in design and print. We are all about quality in everything we do. We are the absolute opposite of cheap and tacky.
We require a Finished Artist/Junior Designer to assist with creating print ready artwork and in time create and collaborate on future design concepts.
You will work directly with our head of creative taking concepts and collaborating with our team of illustrators to finalise print ready artwork, taking elements from multiple sources as per agreed design layouts.
We are looking for someone to bring ideas and passion, as well as having a strong understanding of graphic design principles and techniques and be proficient with Adobe illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.
This role requires you to have exceptional attention to detail, proofreading and typography skills and the ability to take layouts from finished art to pre-press and digital-ready states.
As the role progresses you will be expected to help generate appropriate creative and original ideas and concepts for new designs. You will have the ability to use feedback from our senior designer to continuously improve.
You will have a proven ability to work well within a team whilst working remotely, excellent time management skills and a talent for creativity and problem-solving.
Some experience of finished artwork would be beneficial.
