Financial Services – Associate/Senior Associate, Forensic Data Analytics - London


As part of the Forensics & Integrity Services, our Forensic Data Analytics team provide advanced analytics services to support high profile and sensitive client matters in relation to financial crime. Our services include complex data processing, analytics and reporting for investigations and prevention of fraud, bribery and corruption, money laundering, sanctions breaches, know your customer failings (KYC), price fixing, mis-selling of financial products, employee misconduct, trader and market abuse (surveillance), and much more. Our work involves developing analytics solutions to regularly ingest and monitor data to detect regulatory and compliance risks. This is achieved by combining deep forensic investigation knowledge with advanced data analytics techniques such as investigative data linking, social network analysis, statistics, and machine learning.


What you will do:

  • Understand client fraud and financial crime risks and issues
  • Applying solutions to solve our client's complex fraud and financial crime challenges
  • Assist with future prevention, continuous monitoring, detection and investigation/remediation of fraud, financial crime and claims
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to clients and non-technical key stakeholders
  • Work with clients, fraud investigators, internal and external auditors, compliance officers, lawyers and regulatory authorities in sensitive and adversarial situations
  • Work with team members to complete ad hoc Business Development tasks, further developing a range of skills and industry knowledge


Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in any discipline.
  • Strong grasp of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Exposure to and experience of financial services processes, controls and/or data (within capital markets, retail banking, wealth and asset management, and/or insurance).
  • Good understanding of key challenges and/or regulation impacting the financial services industry.
  • Naturally inquisitive and analytical mindset.
  • Experience of working in a team to solve complex problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical key stakeholders


Desired:

  • Experience of data driven solutions in a financial services context
  • Experience of developing proposals and solutions to solve client problems
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders
