Job description
As an Investigator in the Financial Crime Operations team, you will manage escalations from all Chase UK employees in regard to financial crime/fraud concerns. You will be responsible for investigating unusual activity in the first instance and determining whether the concern requires a SAR decisioning or further escalation. This will include mitigating any immediate risks posed by the concern.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of financial crime/fraud risks facing the industry and experience of fraud/financial crime investigations
- Proven ability to analyse & interpret ambiguous information & data and demonstrated experience of preparing and writing clear & concise reports
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail, self-motivated, deadline driven and able to work in an ever changing environment
- Ability to make risk assessed decisions and a proven ability to spot & resolve problems
- A flexible and professional manner with good administrative skills
- General knowledge and understanding of financial crime legislation/regulations i.e. POCA 2002, UK Bribery Act 2010 and counter terrorist financing
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Experience of ‘Salesforce’
- Open source intelligence research
- Financial crime qualification or certification and knowledge of financial crimes and how they are perpetrated
