The purpose of this role is t o provide leadership, subject matter expertise, support and guidance for the continued implementation and strengthening of a robust framework to manage risks related to financial crime.
What you'll do:
As part of the BGUK Financial Crime team, take an active role in the implementation, maintenance and review of the financial crime risk control framework.
Provide subject matter expertise to the businesses within the BGUK Market Unit in relation financial crime.
Support the BGUK Market Unit in building, maintaining, and updating relevant compliance controls.
Take an active role in increasing financial crime awareness across the enterprise.
To provide strategic advice and support of financial crime related matters and supporting the businesses within the BGUK Market Unit on resolving financial crime related concerns.
To develop and recommend changes to standard financial crime related guidance.
To monitor new developments in financial crime related regulation, trends, and enforcement and to update the Bupa businesses, and advise on policy changes and potential business impact.
Working closely with the operational and commercial teams to deliver effective support and advice as a key team member in projects to further the strategic goals of Bupa.
Developing, aligning with the business, and implementing financial crime strategy, policies and processes in order to mitigate risk for Bupa.
Providing an escalation point for complex technical queries and ensuring their effective and commercially sound resolution.
Ensuring that Bupa's name and reputation are protected.
Being a member of the Finance community and having an active and valuable voice in that forum, to further the strategic goals of the BGUK Finance function within Bupa.
What you'll bring:
Credibility to develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders, teams and everyone around them, including strong communications skills and confidence to challenge effectively as appropriate.

The role requires strong and effective financial crime experience
Exceptional commercial awareness.

Demonstrated ability to act with good judgment and discretion, including handling sensitive matters appropriately.
