Financial Controller - Fashion Head Office - Leeds
Location: Leeds City Centre
Permanent. 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.

The Finance Controller role is newly created to oversee our growing fashion business, brands including Larizia, Accent clothing and Daniel footwear. You will need to have a passion for what you do and be commercially savvy and it's a bonus if you enjoy fashion. The role includes managing the full accounts across the fashion division, cash flow and coordinating a team of accounts assistants. We are looking for a person with a keen eye for detail, with sound accounting experience and who has previously held a senior financial role. You will report directly to the CEO
The Role
- All management & financial reporting
- Develop systems and processes to ensure robust financial control framework
- Experience dealing with European suppliers and multi currencies is helpful
- Ownership of the budgeting & forecasting process
- Managing AP & AR duties
- Income recognition and cash-flow forecasting
- Prepare end of month and periodic reports
- Board reporting and business partnering
- Review data and provide insight to maximise financial performance
- Compile MIS reports for management reporting
- Preparation of statutory financials
- Oversight on payroll processing
- Oversee day to day finance operation
- Coach and manage junior finance team members
You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a multi-business environment which operates at pace
- Strong aptitude for numbers with the commercial awareness to deal with complex inter company strategies and governance arrangements
- Solid experience of multi channel online routes
- Evidence of Finance business partnering and can exemplify this
- Accounting knowledge and sound operating experience of VAT and tax
- Able to communicate effectively, build relationships and
- Has a ‘can do’ and positive attitude and can lead a team in this style
- An eye for detail with a skill-set to include great planning, organisation and time management
- A self starter with lots of enthusiasm with a solution based approach to work
- Confident attitude and able to communicate concisely and effectively with CEO, key stakeholders and investors
- Being excited about fashion would be a benefit

The role is based at our head office in the heart of Leeds city centre. The role is 37.5 hours per week and is Monday - Friday. The role is wholly office based.
