Robin was established in March 2019 by CEO Richard Robinson (a former City lawyer) and CTO James Clough (a theoretical physicist who works in Machine Learning). They have since assembled a talented and diverse team of legal, software and machine learning engineers to build the next generation of contracting tools.
At Robin AI, we are creating groundbreaking products that are transforming legal teams. Our work is multi-disciplinary and brings together the best talent in engineering, product, AI, the law and commercial delivery. Our current product uses neural networks to read and comprehend written contracts, assesses whether they adhere to our customers’ preferred positions, and then automatically amends them. But our goals go way beyond reviewing contracts – we want to build technology that changes the way companies all over the world do deals.
To do that, we need to build a world class commercial operation. As the first finance hire, you will be instrumental in enabling the business to scale. You will also contribute significantly to the design and positioning of our service offering, including pricing, market assessment and target customer definition.
The Role
This is a chance to help accelerate the growth of a company that is on its way to disrupt one of the biggest and largely unchanged industries in the world. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of the core monthly and quarterly financial processes. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in detail in the preparation for further funding rounds, owning the business’ financial model and taking a lead on forecasting and reporting to the Board. This is a broad and varied role, where you will get exposure to all elements of our financial an commercial activity so you can grow and develop your career with us.

Responsibilities
Manage regular financial processes – preparation of management accounts and Board reporting
Supervise invoicing and collections – liaising with customers and suppliers to collect cash and ensure invoices are paid on time
Own the financial model – manage the model to monitor the business’ cash position and burn rate, monitor Robin’s performance against key metrics
Your Skills
You should be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
You should have at least 1 year of post qualification experience either in practice or a fast growth environment
You should have an interest in and be able to demonstrate familiarity with the key financial considerations of high growth startups and venture-backed businesses
You are a fast learner, excellent communicator and can drive projects forward with limited direction
You are comfortable switching between different tasks and responsibilities and are excited to work in a startup environment
You will enjoy working in a stimulating, diverse and cooperative environment where collaboration is essential to achieving results.
