Job description

SilverAssist is a fast-growing company helping to simplify the eldercare journey for seniors and their families. We are looking to expand Finance team and are searching for a highly driven senior accounting and financial professional to assist a growing company in financial reporting, enterprise performance management, and to improve business process efficiency. This is a hands-on position whose responsibilities involve monitoring and managing all aspects of the accounting process and the preparation of monthly financial statements, analyzing revenue, costs, and margins, creating monthly reports on the performance of the business, supporting business decisions and investments, and identifying opportunities for growth. This is a hybrid position that requires commuting and working from our New York City office periodically.

Senior Accountant & Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger, including reviewing revenue and cost detail in ERP to ensure data is flowing properly from related CRM and operational systems, and that resulting financial reporting is accurate
  • Partner with accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting functions
  • Apply technical accounting concepts to maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Provide timely monthly, quarterly, year-end, and ad hoc analyses and reporting
  • Analyze revenue and cost variances, and recommend appropriate actions
  • Support management and board reporting, including financial results and operational KPIs
  • Coordinate or assist with the budget, audit, and/or lending processes
  • Identify and capitalize on financial reporting improvement opportunities, including establishing APIs, reconciliations, dashboards, and other process automations

Senior Accountant & Financial Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, and MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
